The DCSS Statewide Training Branch (STB) mission is to develop and deliver training for California child support professionals to enhance program performance for the benefit of the children and families we serve. In February, here’s what that looks like:
New ECSS Phone System Training
In partnership with the DCSS Telecom Services and Operations teams, STB will host and record the vendor’s training webinars the week of February 20, 2019. These webinars will be posted to Child Support University so that our local child support agency (LCSA) partners may review them in the future as either refresher or new hire call center trainings.
Revised Accurint Training Webinars
In collaboration with LCSA training coordinators as well as LexisNexis representatives, STB is excited to announce new Accurint trainings in 2019. First quarter trainings include Accurint “A to Z” in February and Equifax credit reporting in March. These live webinar trainings are offered twice in the same day to accommodate LCSA schedules and are supplemented by the on-demand Accurint e-learning modules on Child Support University.
Trainer Skill Building (Training for Trainers)
This four-and-a-half-day course offers participants the opportunity to enhance their training skills using a systematic approach to designing training. The curriculum includes adult learning theory, effective teaching methodologies, and individual presentation practice. This live course is offered in March and again in October.
Child Support Program Orientation / CSE for new hires
This two-and-a-half-day course gives new employees a high-level overview of the Child Support Program, Child Support Case Flow, and Child Support Enforcement System (CSE) navigation from the perspective of LCSA staff. Offered four times per year, the class was facilitated at the beginning of February and will be offered again in June.
