CA DCSS Executives Bring a Family’s Christmas Wishes to Life

By: Kayleen Carter

The California Department of Child Support Services (CA DCSS) Executive staff came together again this year to help a family in need through the Sacramento Children’s Home “Adopt-a-Family” Program. This holiday season, the executives provided gifts for the Hicks Family and their three daughters Mackenzie, Paisleigh, and Rylee, participants in the Family Resource Center (FRC) Birth and Beyond program in North Sacramento. The FRC offers many free programs to families within Sacramento County, including in-home assistance to at-risk families, parenting skills classes and more. The executives team donated the items listed on the family’s Christmas wish list which included Nerf toys, gift cards, three bikes, clothing, and a playhouse slide. Working together, the executives purchased more than $500 worth of gifts for the family members, which were then dropped off at the Sacramento Children’s Home on December 14th.

Happy holidays from CA DCSS to the Hicks family!
