Merced-Mariposa Regional Department of Child Support Services Takes the Airwaves

By: Kayleen Carter

The Merced-Mariposa Regional Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) recently participated in a 60-second radio public service announcement (PSA) in honor of National County Government Month.

The 60-second spot covered the benefits of the Child Support Program and the role Merced-Mariposa DCSS plays in serving parents.  The voiceover was provided by Merced-Mariposa DCSS Director Sharon Wardale-Trejo.

The goal of the PSA is to bring awareness to the importance of the work that local governments do in offering services that are accessible to all clients.  The PSA sought to use simpler, less “governmental” language to connect with parents, stressing that we understand the difficulties that may arise but are here to help them solve critical child support issues.

Director Wardale-Trejo said the PSA will air through the month of April on Mariposa community radio station KRYZ LPFM 98.5 if you’re in the area, tune in!
